clarice lispector -- the hour of the star

i finished it this morning and i'll begin re-reading tonight. clarice lispector is maybe my favorite writer ever. i could and will write an essay on her, but for now, i'll leave it at a few words. grotesque, sublime, surreal. lispector strikes a pickaxe at the flesh in search of the truest nucleus of human spirit. this ND special edition is a particularly beautiful publication and made reading it all the more special.
